Change Order Services Work Scope:
Review & understand the construction contract as related to extra work including pre-bid docs, RFI responses, field conditions, order of precedence clause, changes in work clause, and status of construction.
- Establish base contract validation for scope owned
- Determine extra work over and above base contract
- Review and/or aid to draft justification, description of work, request for proposal documentation
- Review engineer’s estimate and compare with contract schedule of values
- Review contractor‘s cost proposal and backup
- Provide notes for negotiations and/or conduct negotiations with all parties
- Arrive at a “fair and reasonable“ authorized cost with a detailed breakdown of labor, material and equipment
- Provide a reconciliation memorandum outlining the differences between the engineer’s estimate and the negotiated cost including labor, materials and equipment.
- Provide field / site visits to establish status of construction / scope change walk thru
Construction Managers:
- We provide training for your staff using actual project change orders.
- We provide project setup to engage with the change order process.
- We can manage the entire process if required.
Contractors:
- We provide support to help the team engage with the contract specified change order process to avoid costly delays and maintain cash flow.
- We also provide training to your team to set up a project proactively for change order management.
Owners:
- We provide an independent assessments to help expedite the timing of the process to help owners obtain extras at fair and reasonable costs during construction.
